Which Deadline and Decision Option are Right For You?

Early Decision I

Deadline: November 15

Marist offers two binding Early Decision options in which candidates are limited to Marist as their sole choice. Marist's Early Decision I deadline is November 15th, and notifications will still be mailed mid-December. Accepted candidates are required to submit a non-refundable deposit by February 15th.

Early Action

Deadline: November 15

Marist also offers a flexible Early Action option for students who wish to find out early but are not ready to commit can apply. The deadline for this non-binding program is November 15th, and notifications are mailed by mid-January. Accepted students will have until May 1st to submit a deposit.

Early Decision II

Deadline: February 1

The second binding Early Decision option is Early Decision II. Early Decision II applications must be completed by February 1st, and notifications will be mailed mid-February. Accepted candidates are required to submit a non-refundable deposit by March 1st.

Regular Decision

Deadline: February 1

The last deadline for freshman applicants is Regular Decision. These non-binding applications must be received by February 1st, and notifications are mailed by mid-March. Accepted students have until May 1st to decide to attend Marist and submit their enrollment deposit.

Accepted Student Profile: Class of 2023

We accepted 49.0% of the nearly 11,260 students who applied for a seat in the entering class of 2023. This year's freshmen include 1,414 students from all corners of the United States and 27 different countries. Here's the breakdown:

GPA: 88-93 or 3.1 – 3.7 (recalculated)
The middle 50% of accepted students averaged between 87 and 93 for their GPA.

SAT: 
The middle 50% scored between 1210 and 1360.

Admission Criteria

Students interested in applying should rank in the top half of their graduating class and hold a recalculated average of 88-93 or 3.1 – 3.7. Leadership qualities and high school activities are also important. Candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • 3 years of History/Social Studies
