A Snapshot of the Class of '23
We accepted 49.0% of the nearly 11,260 students who applied for a seat in the entering class of 2023. This year's freshmen include 1,414 students from all corners of the map. In the Midwest, students enrolled from Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin; on the west coast, from Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington; and from the south, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
Internationally, 27 countries are represented, including Brazil, China, El Salvador, Ghana, India, Japan, Kenya, Nepal, Poland, Rwanda, Switzerland, and Taiwan. In addition, this year, 36 select incoming freshmen will spend their first year of study at the Marist campus in Florence, Italy as part of the Freshman Florence Experience (FFE), and 20 select incoming freshmen will spend their first year of study as part of the Freshman Dublin Experience (FDE). Marist is rated as “highly selective.”
